Ring the bells! I have a newly-discovered Mom Hack!
As a busy mom of two young girls who are always on the go, the term “organic” used to intimidate me.
Until recently, I thought “organic” was reserved for people who took five meditation classes a day, shuddered at the sight of refined sugar, and had abs like Madonna.
That philosophy is out the window.
Progresso has added an organic option to its already-great collection of soups, which makes it super (souper?) easy for me to make healthy choices when I’m on the go.
Not only does Progresso’s organic soups taste great, but they are non-GMO, USDA organic, and come in a variety of flavors like Organic Chicken Noodle, Organic Tomato Basil, Organic Southwest Style Black Bean, Organic Savory Lentil, and Organic Classic Minestrone.
These soups are easy to find in the canned soup aisles of your favorite large retail chains.
I read through the ingredient list on the back of each can and there were NO weird chemicals I couldn’t pronounce. For instance, Progresso’s Organic Minestrone Soup contained only REAL, organic ingredients like carrots, tomatoes, kidney beans, garbanzo beans, oregano, and sunflower oil.
I like to know what I’m putting in my body.

I hate making school lunches, let alone lunch for myself. However, eating out at lunchtime can get expensive. With each of Progresso’s organic soups, all I have to do before leaving the house is grab a can, toss it in my purse, and viola! lunch is already prepared.

Some foods can naturally cure colds! For instance, almonds boost immunity and reduce inflammation. Spinach boosts the immune system and resists infection. Yogurt contains probiotics to strengthen the immune system. Next time you’re starting to feel badly, try opening your refrigerator for natural solutions.
Certain healthy foods work great frozen in ice cube trays. These include cucumbers, mint, oranges, blueberries, and strawberries. These are simple to make and are a great way to add flavor to your water. The trick is to use filtered water so these ice cubes come out looking extra clear.
School lunch hack. Prepare all “main courses” in your kids’ lunch for the entire week on Sunday night. For instance, if you have two kids, then make ten sandwiches (one for each child per day), zip ’em up in plastic baggies, and keep them in the fridge to distribute in lunches as the week progresses. This hack makes lunchtime preparation so much easier.
Jump start your morning with lemon water. Make it a ritual to begin each morning with a glass of water with fresh-squeezed lemon or lemon oil. There are so many benefits of lemon water, but the main reason is because it flushes your system of toxins, alkalizes your body, and keeps your digestive system working as it should. This gives you more energy, helps you fight inflammation, and provides you with an all-natural health boost.
